United Robotics would like to congratulate Irving Polanco on his promotion to Robotic Integration Manager!

Irving joined URI in July of 2015 as a Robotic Technician and has been an integral member of the team. He started out assisting with fabrication, installation and robotic programming and has since moved his way in to robotic training, safety system installation & programming and field service & support.

Irving will manage scheduling and implementation of our installations and be our key contact for customer support.

Zach Dreyer & Kevin Salmon of URI had the opportunity to speak to students at the Northwest Technical Institute's (NWTI) Open House & Manufacturing Day in Springdale, AR on October 26th.

They spoke to students about robotic applications in manufacturing, covering welding & plasma cutting, material handling, machine tending, and dispensing. They also dispelled some fears among students concerning robotics taking jobs from technical trades such as welding. The crew from United Robotics had the opportunity to attend IMTS (International Manufacturing Technology Show) 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. This year's show hosted a record-breaking 2,563 exibitors and 129,415 registrants.

Aaron Wright of URI had the opportunity to speak to the students at the Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (GO CAPS) in Monett, MO on October 12th.

He discussed various robotic applications in industry, speaking primarily about material handling, machine tending, welding/cutting and dispensing. He stressed the importance of ancillary equipment such as vision guidance, PLC (controls), and tooling.
